TSR Legal Meets….

Sara Haf Uren – Partner Solicitor at Harding Evans

This week we are interviewing Sara Haf Uren. Sara has recently been promoted to Partner Solicitor and specialises in Clinical Negligence. Sara has worked her way up in Harding Evans, she started as a Paralegal, moved on to Trainee Solicitor, Qualified Solicitor, Associate Solicitor, Senior Associate Solicitor and finally Partner!
What was your 2017 highlight?
As part of Harding Evans’ innovative “Pathway to Partnership programme” I was made a Senior Associate in 2017. This represented the firm’s wider strategy to identify and develop its future owners and partners. I was then thrilled to have also been made a Partner in May of this year.
How does your firm stand out from the crowd?
Harding Evans is a modern and progressive law firm and 2018 has already been a remarkable year so far for us. We were recently recognised for our ongoing commitment to digital innovation in the Wales Online Digital Awards, winning the Best Digital Innovation award for our bespoke conveyancing app.
What is your favourite thing about working at Harding Evans?
The firm is dedicated to providing a structured learning and development programme for those individuals who aspire to progress within the business. As such it is an extremely supportive environment to be in and one that offers job satisfaction and real learning opportunities for personal development. The firm is also committed to us coming together socially as a firm to have fun outside of our jobs, we have regular social events and staff ‘Happy Days’ where the firm treats us to something special each month, from frozen yogurt to hot yoga sessions!
What advice would you give to aspiring lawyers?
To obtain as much work experience as possible in a range of varied specialist areas. It is only through this practical experience that you will get a sense of whether this is the right career path for you.
What can we expect to see from Harding Evans  in 2018?
2018 is already such an exciting year for us, it saw our app win its first award and also saw the opening of our new offices in Cardiff. Over the years we have built a strong reputation in various parts of Wales and the UK, but we recognised the need to create a physical presence in the city, so people there feel we are readily accessible. The best is yet to come for us!
