TSR Legal are working in partnership with a Top 100 Law Firm’s Cardiff office in their search for a Senior / Principal Associate specialising in Public Sector Employment Law to join their Cardiff team.
The Role
In this role as a Senior / Principal Associate Solicitor in the Public Sector Employment team, you will be expected to have prior experience with another leading Regional or National firm and be confident producing high quality work independently.
In this senior position, you will need to be confident communicating with both your internal team and clients. This will include maintaining and developing strong client relationships.
The key objective of this role is to support the firm’s growing employment practice, with a specific focus on advising public sector clients.
The role will involve advising public sector organisations on a wide range of contentious and non contentious employment matters, including complex employee relations issues, disciplinary and grievance matters, discrimination, whistleblowing, restructuring and Employment Tribunal claims.
About You
The successful Public Sector Employment Lawyer will need to be 7 PQE+ and have strong employment law experience, ideally with a good background in advising public sector clients.
You will have strong knowledge of employment law and be confident dealing with complex and sensitive matters.
Not only will you be expected to have strong legal knowledge, but also be a good team player and role model to the younger team. The successful candidate will need to be self motivated and have an eagerness to produce the highest quality work.
You will need to be a UK and Wales qualified solicitor.
