As a result of our focus moving from attracting candidates into the business, it’s now become as much of a focus to screen and prepare candidates for roles that they really are suitable for.
As is often the case, with the volume of job boards increasing nationally, there is sometimes the unfortunate scenario where candidates may feel lost in and amongst the applications.
This is something that we really want to avoid and why the process of applying for legal roles through TSR Legal ensures that candidates are genuinely interested in the role.
By doing this, we can focus our efforts on providing the best recruitment service possible to any candidates we work with.
How Many Applications is too Many Applications?
It’s a great problem to have. Too many applications.
Creating a system that consistently brings in new candidate applications is the dream of almost every recruiter. However, we’re extremely conscious that the candidates we receive applications from are totally understanding of the role that they’re applying for and ensuring that they are the right fit for the role.
Unfortunately, sometimes the ease of applying for a new role means it’s more natural to engage in your job hunting activity with a shotgun approach rather than a laser-focused search for the ‘right role’.
Something that we’re keen to implement is a short but concise screening process to ensure that we can work with candidates who really are interested and committed to the role that they are applying for.
This then allows us to focus on working with and preparing candidates who are genuinely interested in a new role and prevents any commitment issues further down the line.
Expectations and Managing Them
Having been on the other side of recruitment, being left in limbo is probably one of the most frustrating parts of looking for a new role.
That’s why we’re keen to ensure that once a candidate registers with us that they are engaged from the word go.
This process is I’m sure, something that many agencies are looking to master but we feel a reputation as a leading National Recruitment Agency is dependant on our ability to build and grow relationships with candidates.
Since the last legal marketing update, we’ve implemented more touch points with candidates which has built a solid foundation for us to provide our clients with high-quality candidates who are suitably committed to any: tests, interviews and potentially new positions offered to them.
As part of the development of TSR Legal as a National Legal Recruitment Agency, something we are keen to showcase and utilise is our consultant’s knowledge of their legal knowledge within their specified regions.
Going into 2017 we are looking forward to building a community of engaged legal professionals initially within Wales who will be able to stay up to date with everything legal across Wales.
This includes: legal events, legal news and legal movement taking place across the region.
We’re excited to be able to bring the latest updates and highest-quality content to legal professionals across Wales in 2017 and know that this is something we’ll be looking to continue and grow going into 2017.
