About the Role

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate Family Solicitor to join a nationally recognised and highly respected legal practice with an outstanding reputation for quality of work across the UK. This confidential opportunity offers the chance to become a key senior figure within an established and growing family law department, working directly under the Head of Family with clear mentoring and succession opportunities.

This position would suit an ambitious Senior Associate seeking not only access to high-quality work, but also the opportunity to develop into a strategic leadership role within a leading national practice.

The role will involve:

• Managing a high-quality caseload of privately funded family matters
• Advising on divorce, financial remedy, private children matters, cohabitation disputes, and pre/post-nuptial agreements
• Handling complex and often high-net-worth family law matters
• Working closely alongside the Head of Family as a key second-in-command
• Supporting team leadership, mentoring junior solicitors, and contributing to departmental development
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Playing a central role in business development and team growth
• Helping shape the future direction of the family department

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Be a qualified Family Solicitor with significant PQE and Senior Associate-level experience
• Have strong technical expertise across private family law
• Demonstrate leadership qualities and a desire to progress into a more senior management role
• Be confident mentoring and supervising junior team members
• Possess excellent commercial awareness and client management skills
• Be proactive, ambitious, and eager to contribute strategically to departmental growth
