An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious insurance lawyer to join a highly regarded UK law firm with an established London presence, a strong client base and a reputation for high quality work.

The firm is looking for a lawyer with experience across property damage, EL and PL, or a combination of these areas. The level is flexible, with the opportunity likely to suit someone from around 4 PQE upwards through to a senior lawyer with an established client following.

The role

You will work on a varied range of insurance claims and disputes for insurers, businesses and commercial clients. The work is interesting and often complex, with the wider firm providing considerable depth of expertise across insurance, disputes and related areas.

Your experience may include:

• Property damage claims

• Employers’ liability and public liability

• Complex and high value claims

• Liability disputes

• Policy and coverage issues

• Litigation and dispute resolution

The firm places real importance on understanding its clients and their businesses. The focus is on providing clear, commercially sensible advice and building relationships that last.

For someone with 4 plus PQE and above, this is an opportunity to take on genuine responsibility, develop technically and become an important part of a growing London practice.

For a more senior lawyer, there is scope to develop your own practice and make the role your own. An established network of insurer contacts, client relationships or a following would be particularly attractive.

You will ideally have:

• 4 plus PQE or above in property damage, EL and PL, insurance litigation or a related area

• Strong technical and contentious experience

• Excellent communication and client management skills

• A commercial and pragmatic approach

• The ability to manage matters with appropriate autonomy

• An interest in developing your own profile and client relationships

For a senior appointment, an existing following, strong insurer relationships or a demonstrable ability to generate work would be highly valued.
