A well established and busy law firm in South Wales is seeking a Family Solicitor with between three and five years post qualification experience to join its growing family law team based in Swansea. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated solicitor to take on a varied caseload and develop their career within a supportive and reputable practice.
The successful candidate will manage a broad range of family law matters, including both privately funded and legally aided work. The role offers the chance to work closely with experienced colleagues while also maintaining responsibility for your own caseload.
Key responsibilities
Manage a varied caseload of family law matters including divorce and financial remedy work
Advise clients on issues relating to children including child arrangements and parental responsibility
Handle matters involving separation, cohabitation disputes and related family issues
Undertake legal aid work including matters relating to children and domestic abuse where appropriate
Conduct client meetings and maintain strong client relationships
Draft legal documents, correspondence and court applications
Represent clients at hearings where appropriate
Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the continued growth of the department
Requirements
Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with three to five years post qualification experience in family law
Experience of both privately funded and legal aid family matters would be advantageous
Confident managing a caseload with appropriate supervision
Excellent communication and client care skills
Well organised with strong attention to detail
A proactive and professional approach
