If you’re a Clinical Negligence Solicitor around the 2PQE mark and feel like you’re ready for more autonomy, better quality work, or a step into supervision, this is worth a look.

This opportunity sits within a well-established claimant team that deals exclusively with clinical negligence matters. The caseload is genuinely interesting – a mix of complex and high value claims – and you won’t be stuck churning through low-level work.

There’s also a clear expectation that you’ll play a part in the wider team. Not just running files, but helping guide junior fee earners, contributing to discussions around risk and strategy, and being part of a team that actually works collaboratively rather than in silos.

What you’ll be doing:

• Running your own caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters from start to finish
• Handling both pre-litigated and litigated files, including more technical claims
• Working closely with medical experts and counsel on complex issues
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team on a day-to-day basis
• Getting involved in weekly case discussions and shaping case strategy
• Playing a part in maintaining high standards across the team

What they’re looking for:

• 2PQE+ Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with claimant clinical negligence experience
• Confident handling your own files with a solid understanding of litigation
• Someone comfortable stepping into a more senior position within a team
• Strong client care skills – you’ll be dealing with sensitive matters daily
• Good working knowledge of CPR and funding arrangements (CFA, LEI etc.)
