Location: Bristol
Salary: Up to £30,000 depending on experience
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 2 days in the Bristol office, 3 days working from home

TSR Legal is delighted to be working with a well-established national law firm to recruit a Claimant Personal Injury Paralegal to join its Bristol-based team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Personal Injury professional looking to take ownership of their own caseload within a supportive and established claimant department.

The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload of personal injury claims, including claims involving vulnerable road users such as cyclists, pedestrians and motorcyclists, as well as minor to moderate head injury claims.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing your own caseload of claimant personal injury matters, providing a high standard of client care while progressing claims efficiently and in line with agreed service standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and progressing your own caseload of personal injury claims.
• Pursuing claims up to £25,000 through and outside of the MOJ Portal.
• Handling claims through both pre-litigation and post-litigation stages.
• Progressing Fast Track claims where appropriate.
• Preparing matters for litigation, including issuing proceedings and complying with Court Directions through to Trial.
• Maintaining accurate records and making effective use of the firm’s case management system.
• Communicating professionally with clients, insurers, expert witnesses, solicitors and other relevant parties.
• Managing client expectations and dealing appropriately with any complaints.
• Attending and contributing to weekly risk assessment meetings.
• Working to agreed service levels and deadlines.
• Supporting the wider team with additional duties where required.

About You

We are looking for someone with a background in claimant personal injury, ideally with experience managing their own caseload.

You will ideally have:

• Experience handling a claimant personal injury caseload.
• Good knowledge of MOJ Portal processes.
• Experience progressing Fast Track claims.
• Knowledge of the litigation process, including issuing proceedings and working through to Trial.
• Familiarity with a legal case management system.
• Strong technical knowledge of personal injury claims handling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy caseload.
• The ability to work accurately to strict service levels and deadlines.
• A confident and professional approach to client care.
• The ability to analyse information and research legal issues.
• The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team.

A Law Degree, CILEx qualification or equivalent would be desirable but is not essential.
